Divyanubhuti · Privacy Policy · Effective 19 October 2026 · https://divyanubhuti.com/privacy
Who we are and what this covers
This policy applies to:
- the Divyanubhuti VR app on Meta Quest headsets, used by venue visitors and operated by our partners; and
- the Divyanubhuti dashboard, the website our team and our partner organisations (vendors and their sites) use to manage videos, headsets, attendance and reports.
Information we collect
Visitors watching an experience. If you are a visitor watching a video on a headset at a venue, we do not ask for or collect your name, contact details or any other personal information.
Guest mode. The app can be used as a guest without an account. In guest mode only teaser videos are available, and no viewing history is sent to our servers.
Partner and operator accounts. For accounts created for our partners and their headsets we hold:
- a username and password (passwords are stored on our servers only in hashed form);
- an email address, if one is provided, used to send session reports;
- the account’s role and the organisation and site it belongs to, together with the commercial terms agreed with that organisation (such as ticket price and commission rate).
Usage records for registered headsets. When a headset signed in to a partner account plays a video, we record the video title, start and end time, how long it played, whether it counts as a completed play, and the ticket price and commission rate in force at that time. These records are used for reporting and billing to the partner, not to identify viewers.
Attendance. Partner headset accounts punch in and out at the start and end of a working session. We record those times and the session length.
Technical information. To keep you signed in we use a session token in the app and an essential session cookie on the dashboard. Like most web services, our servers may also log standard request details such as IP address and time of request, used for security and troubleshooting.
The app does not access your microphone, cameras (other than through the headset’s own hand tracking, below), location or contacts, and it does not read device identifiers.
Information stored on the headset
To work at venues with limited connectivity, the app stores some information on the headset itself:
- the sign-in token, and the username and password of the partner account, so the headset can sign in again automatically (the password and token are removed when the user logs out);
- the videos it has downloaded and a copy of the latest video list, so videos keep playing offline;
- play and attendance records, kept on the headset until they can be sent to our servers.
Uninstalling the app removes this information from the headset.
Hand tracking
The app can be controlled with hand gestures, such as a pinch. Hand tracking is provided by the Meta Quest system and is processed on the headset. The app only reacts to gestures while you use it; it does not store or send hand-tracking data to us.
How we use information
- to provide the VR experiences and keep the video library on each headset up to date;
- to sign users in and allow each partner account to be active on one headset at a time;
- to produce attendance, usage and revenue reports for our partners and to calculate commissions;
- to email session reports to the partner’s and our administrators’ registered addresses;
- to provide support, keep the service secure and prevent misuse;
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- with the partner organisation and site that an account belongs to, which can see that account’s attendance and usage reports;
- with service providers that host our servers and deliver our emails, under their obligations to protect it;
- when a headset downloads videos, the request goes to Google Drive, where our videos are stored, so Google receives standard request information such as the headset’s IP address;
- where required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with analytics or advertising networks.
Third-party platforms
The app runs on Meta Quest, and videos are delivered through Google Drive. Meta and Google collect and process information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. Information Meta collects through the headset or the Meta Horizon Store is not controlled by us.
How long we keep information
We keep account, attendance and usage information for as long as the partner account is active and afterwards for as long as needed for reporting, billing, resolving disputes and meeting legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed we delete it or make it anonymous.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including hashed passwords, token-based sign-in that allows each account one active headset at a time, and access controls so that partners see only their own organisation’s data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you a summary of it;
- correct or update inaccurate information;
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- withdraw consent you have given, without affecting processing already carried out;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
Partner staff can also ask their organisation’s administrator to update or remove their account. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
Children
Partner accounts are for adults only. Children may watch experiences at venues under the supervision of the venue and their parent or guardian; we do not collect personal information from viewers, including children. If you believe a child’s personal information has been provided to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, with the date it takes effect shown at the top. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will let partner organisations know before it takes effect.
